As 2025 approaches, David Zwirner Gallery has unveiled an impressive lineup of exhibitions set to captivate art enthusiasts across London, Paris, New York, Los Angeles, and Hong Kong. Renowned for showcasing groundbreaking works, the gallery is poised to deliver a blend of historical significance and contemporary innovation in the new year.

German artist Thomas Ruff’s "expériences lumineuses" will be a highlight of the gallery's London programming. Opening on January 30th, this solo exhibition will span two floors, offering viewers an intimate yet expansive look at Ruff’s new and iconic works. This marks Ruff’s return to the London art scene after critically acclaimed exhibitions at the Whitechapel Gallery, the National Portrait Gallery in 2017, and the Victoria and Albert Museum in 2018. With his reputation as a master of photographic experimentation, the show promises to attract widespread attention.

In Paris, the spotlight will be on Antiguan artist Frank Walter, with his exhibition "Moon Voyage". Drawing inspiration from his Milky Way Galaxy series, the collection delves into the artist’s fascination with space and the mysteries of the universe. As Walter’s first solo exhibition in Paris and his fourth with David Zwirner, it offers a unique opportunity to engage with the multi-faceted genius of a writer, painter, and thinker. Opening on February 1st, the Paris gallery will also host an exhibition of works by American artist Raymond Saunders, curated by Ebony L. Haynes, showcasing Saunders’ evocative paintings and drawings.

Across the Atlantic, the New York galleries will celebrate Italian modernist Giorgio Morandi with "Masterpieces from the Magnani-Rocca Foundation". Launching on January 16th at the 20th Street location, this exhibition curated by Dr. Alice Ensabella will feature over 50 works spanning six decades, making it one of the largest Morandi showcases in New York since the Metropolitan Museum of Art's 2008 retrospective. On the same evening, the gallery’s 19th Street location will present a retrospective of Raoul De Keyser, curated by Helen Molesworth, featuring seminal works from the 1980s to the 2000s.

During the anticipated Frieze LA, exhibitions by Tau Lewis and Lisa Yuskavage will take center stage in Los Angeles, alongside notable showcases featuring Emma Mcintyre, Toma Abts, Michael Armitage, Rose Wylie, and Katherine Bernhardt. These exhibitions are expected to highlight diverse voices and styles, reinforcing the gallery’s commitment to inclusivity and innovation in the art world.
