Boynextdoor has achieved a remarkable milestone with their debut single in Japan, securing the No. 2 spot on Oricon’s daily single ranking, according to the chart published Wednesday.
The single "And" sold over 100,000 copies on its release day, nearly doubling the sales record set by the one-year-old band with their second EP "How?" released in April. This impressive debut follows the success of their previous mini albums, both of which topped the Oricon charts: their second EP "How?" and their first EP "Why..."
The single album "And" includes four tracks, featuring the Japanese-language song "Good Day" and the main track "Earth, Wind and Fire (Japanese Ver.)."
In celebration of their official debut in Japan, the six members of Boynextdoor graced the covers of four fashion magazines, further solidifying their presence in the Japanese market. Additionally, the group is set to perform at Summer Sonic 2024 next month, showcasing their talent on a prominent stage and reaching a broader audience.
Boynextdoor's swift rise in the Japanese music scene highlights their growing popularity and the strong reception of their music, both in Japan and internationally.
