The PC version of Shift Up's stylish action-adventure game Stella Blade has become the center of attention after its optimization video was unveiled on NVIDIA’s official YouTube channel. According to NVIDIA, the optimization of Stella Blade is quite impressive, as it runs smoothly even at the highest settings, providing an exceptional gaming experience. When tested on the RTX 5090 graphics card with all in-game options set to maximum, the game maintains a remarkable 100 frames per second (FPS) even at 4K resolution without enabling DLSS.

This performance is noteworthy, as achieving 100 FPS at 4K on the most demanding settings is not a common feat, even with high-end hardware like the RTX 5090. It demonstrates the game’s solid optimization, ensuring that players can enjoy smooth, immersive gameplay on cutting-edge hardware. Additionally, the performance improves even further when DLSS 4.0's frame generation is enabled, pushing the FPS to an astounding 300. Frame generation technology essentially doubles the number of frames rendered, meaning that even without the frame generation feature, DLSS 4.0 still maintains around 150 FPS, a remarkable boost.

However, it is important to note that this performance was achieved with the RTX 5090, currently the top-tier graphics card on the market. A comparison between the RTX 5090 and its predecessor, the RTX 4090, conducted using the 3DMark benchmark, revealed a 50% performance improvement in favor of the RTX 5090. As a result, players using older graphics cards, such as those from the RTX 30 or 40 series, may find that DLSS 4.0 is essential to maintain 100 FPS or higher at 4K on full settings.

Despite this, the remarkable optimization of Stella Blade is clear, and it is expected to deliver a smooth and visually stunning experience for those with the right hardware. Fans of the game can look forward to experiencing this optimized version when the PC release is launched on Steam in June 2025.
