Jennie of BLACKPINK Issues Apology for Indoor Vaping Incident
Jennie, a prominent member of the K-pop group BLACKPINK, has publicly apologized following criticism over a video showing her allegedly vaping indoors.
In an official statement released by her agency OA Entertainment, Jennie expressed regret and apologized to those affected by her actions. The statement conveyed, "We deeply apologize to everyone who felt uncomfortable due to Jennie's behavior. Jennie acknowledges her mistake of vaping indoors and the inconvenience caused to the staff."
"We also extend our apologies to disappointed fans and pledge to present a more mature and positive image moving forward," the statement emphasized.
The controversy arose after Jennie shared a vlog featuring herself vaping during a hair and makeup session, including exhaling smoke near staff members. Despite editing out the contentious scenes and re-uploading the video, accusations of indoor smoking persisted on social media.
