H&M has announced a new clothing line in collaboration with the estate of the late artist Jean-Michel Basquiat and the emerging fashion label Who Decides War.
The collaboration was inspired by the 2022 exhibition “King Pleasure,” organised by Basquiat’s sisters and included rarely-seen works and brand partnerships.
Designers Ev Bravado and Téla D’Amore of Who Decides War aimed to highlight lesser-known aspects of Basquiat’s work and the influence of Black artists.
The Basquiat-inspired clothing line, available in select stores from July 18, pays homage to his artistic legacy and the ongoing influence of Black art and culture.
