Visual artist Soo-hwan Kim's animation Generative Mind, will be screening in Incheon.
Kim has been thinking about how to shape the image of the mind through various genres of art activities such as Styrofoam sculptures, installations, and drawings. In the exhibition, he chose a animation as delivery method.
For the artist, the memory of constantly disappearing and the mind of constantly creating something at the same time has always been an important topic. At the same time, he had doubts about his creation and questions about his life about how to live in this world.
The animation was created in his visual language as the artist continued to do his meetings and drawing work. In his work, he captured insights about humans as a whole, including human curiosity and greed, present and future, and various emotions.
Kim explained the work, "I take out the images that swirl in my mind to the real world, such as being located outside the earth for a while and looking at the various lives and events taking place on earth."
The screening will be available from the 8th to the 10th at Milim Cinema in Incheon and from the 12th to the 17th at Incheon Art Platform, and admission is free.
