In celebration of their monumental 18th anniversary, renowned K-pop group Super Junior is all set to host an exhilarating fan meeting on November 4. The event, titled "1t's 8lue," will take place twice at the Grand Peace Palace at Kyung Hee University, eastern Seoul, with sessions at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. The venue, capable of accommodating up to 4,500 attendees, has been chosen for this special occasion.
This fan meeting marks Super Junior's return to such events since their previous gathering in Japan in April 2022. Fans eagerly anticipate the joyous celebration, featuring the band's hit tracks, engaging mini-games, and interactive talk sessions, as announced by SM Entertainment, the agency representing Super Junior.
However, the band's dedicated fan base has expressed concerns about the venue's capacity. Fans have rallied on social media, initiating the hashtag "Change the location for Super Junior's fan meeting" on various platforms. With over 228,000 posts since the announcement, both Korean and global fans are urging SM Entertainment to consider a larger venue to accommodate the immense interest and support.
Tickets for this celebratory event will go on sale initially for Super Junior's fan club members on October 18, followed by general ticket sales on October 20. Additionally, the 7 p.m. performance will be streamed live online, with further details to be unveiled soon.
Super Junior, a trailblazing K-pop boy band, made their debut in 2005 with their inaugural full-length album "Super Junior05." Over the years, they have become pioneers of the K-pop scene, delivering numerous chart-topping hits such as "U" (2006), "Rokuko" (2008), "Sorry Sorry" (2009), "Mr. Simple" (2011), and more.
In a recent development, members Leeteuk, Heechul, Yesung, Shindong, Siwon, and Ryeowook renewed their contracts with SM Entertainment in July, reaffirming their commitment to continue group activities as Super Junior. While Eunhyuk, Donghae, and Kyuhyun did not renew their contracts, all members have united to sustain the legacy of Super Junior under the banner of SM Entertainment.
