South Korean ballad singer Tei, whose given name is Kim Ho-kyung, has announced his engagement to his non-celebrity girlfriend. The news was shared by the singer himself on his fan community website, where he revealed that the couple has been together for six years. Tei described his fiancée as a person who has lived a “harder and more mature life than her peers since her school days,” and someone he “looks up to.”

Tei also thanked his fans for their support, asking for their continued encouragement as he takes this new step in his personal life. According to local press, the wedding will take place on May 29 at a golf course in Gyeonggi.

Since his debut in 2004 with the album “The First Journey,” Tei has been known for his ballads, which have included hits such as “Love... Leaves a Scent,” “Thorn Tree that Loved Yearning,” and “Screaming Out in Sadness.” The singer is set to hold his first concert in six years at the end of this month, as he prepares for his upcoming nuptials.
