K-pop sensation Tomorrow X Together (TXT) and the fourth-generation girl group Ive have both established new first-week sales records with their latest albums.

TXT's third full-length album, "The Name Chapter: Freefall," sold over 2.25 million copies in the first week following its release on Friday, according to data from Hanteo Chart, a prominent local album sales tracker, as announced by BigHit Music on Friday. This achievement marks the band's second album to surpass 2 million copies in sales this year and marks the group's highest first-week sales to date. Their previous record was 2.18 million copies, set with "The Name Chapter: Temptation," their fifth EP released in January.
Ive, another prominent fourth-generation girl group, has also established a new first-week sales record with their debut EP, "I've Mine," released on the same day as TXT's album. "I've Mine" sold 1.6 million copies in its debut week, according to data from Hanteo Chart, as reported by Starship Entertainment. This marks the third million-selling album for the group, following "After Like," their third single released last year, and "I've Ive," their first full-length album released in April. Their previous record was 1.1 million copies, set with "I've Ive."

Among K-pop female artists, Ive achieved the third-largest first-week sales with "I've Mine," following aespa's "My World" (1.69 million copies) and NewJeans' "Get Up" (1.65 million copies).
Ive's new album has garnered strong chart performance on major domestic music charts, with its three main tracks - "Baddie," "Off the Record," and "Either Way" - charting prominently.
