G-Dragon, the South Korean singer and former Big Bang member, has faced renewed scrutiny from fans, with online comments expressing concern over his recent police booking for alleged illegal drug use.
Reports emerged on Wednesday stating that the Incheon Police Agency initiated an official investigation against the artist earlier this week, unrelated to the ongoing allegations against "Parasite" actor Lee Sun-kyun.
Following this development, online comments from fans expressing unease about G-Dragon's well-being have resurfaced on various internet forums. One comment on a year-old interview video with the singer on Elle Korea's YouTube channel questioned G-Dragon's recent behavior, saying, "Are you on drugs, GD? Why are you so different from a few years ago?" The comment received 3,000 likes.

Another comment, with 1,400 likes, remarked, "Why does he look like he's acting similar to Yoo Ah-in?" referring to another actor who faced charges related to illegal drug use earlier this year.
Additional comments on the video raised concerns about the singer's body movements, while other internet forums witnessed an influx of posts sharing videos that purportedly showed unusual body twitches by G-Dragon.
As of now, G-Dragon has not issued any statements on the matter. He departed from YG Entertainment in December of the previous year and has not signed with a new agency.
Notably, G-Dragon, whose real name is Kwon Ji-yong, faced questioning in 2011 by Korean prosecution for alleged marijuana use. However, his indictment was suspended at the time after he confessed to unintentional inhalation of the substances.
G-Dragon made his debut as a member of the boy band Big Bang in 2006, a five-member group affiliated with YG Entertainment, achieving remarkable success throughout the late 2000s and early 2010s.
