Babymonster's Debut Single Breaks Records with Over 22.5 Million YouTube Views in 24 Hours

Rookie Group Achieves Global Recognition Across Platforms

YG Entertainment announced on Tuesday that Babymonster's debut single, "Batter Up," garnered over 22.5 million views on YouTube within 24 hours, establishing a new record for a K-pop act. The music video quickly rose to the top of the trending video chart, amassing over 10 million views in just half a day. Babymonster's official YouTube channel has seen a significant surge in subscribers, reaching over 3.55 million, reflecting a gain of approximately 270,000 within a day.

Simultaneously, "Batter Up" claimed the top spot on the iTunes top songs chart in 21 regions and achieved success on major music charts in Japan and China. On Spotify, the single amassed over 435,000 plays on the day of its release.

Babymonster, a six-member multinational group, made its debut on Monday, marking the first girl group launched by YG Entertainment since Blackpink. The debut's immense popularity, as evidenced by record-breaking YouTube views and global chart achievements, positions Babymonster as a noteworthy addition to the label's roster.
