Com2uS Joins National Campaign to Reduce Plastic Use

On January 23, 2025, Com2uS Group (Chairman Song Byung Joon) announced its participation in the “Bye Bye Plastic Challenge,” a nationwide environmental protection campaign led by the Ministry of Environment. The initiative encourages individuals and organizations to reduce unnecessary plastic use in daily life, drawing support from various companies and groups.

Com2uS Group has long been committed to fostering a healthy global environment where humans and nature coexist harmoniously. Through this campaign, the company plans to further promote awareness and implement practical steps to reduce plastic use in everyday life.

As part of their involvement, Com2uS has launched a three-week internal campaign beginning January 22. Employees have been encouraged to participate in at least one of ten actionable missions aimed at minimizing plastic consumption. Those who complete the tasks and submit confirmation of their efforts will be rewarded with eco-friendly products, promoting sustainable habits within the workplace.

Chairman Song Byung Joon joined the campaign following a nomination by Shin Jin Wook, Country Manager of Bank of America Korea. In turn, Song nominated Kwon Taek Hwan, Vice Chairman of ShinDaeYang Paper, as the next participant, emphasizing the importance of collective action in environmental initiatives.

Com2uS Group has consistently engaged in impactful environmental activities. Last year, in celebration of the 10th anniversary of their global hit game “Summoners War: Sky Arena,” the company launched a low-carbon mission campaign involving international players. Proceeds from the initiative were donated to the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) to support global forest conservation efforts.

In addition, Com2uS has actively supported various environmental projects, including the creation of biotopes in Yeouido Saetgang Eco Park, habitat protection for otters, conservation of endangered species, and mangrove forest restoration. These initiatives highlight the company’s dedication to addressing pressing environmental challenges.

Through its participation in the “Bye Bye Plastic Challenge,” Com2uS reaffirms its commitment to sustainability and encourages widespread participation in fostering a cleaner, greener planet. The campaign not only reflects the company’s corporate responsibility but also serves as a call to action for other organizations and individuals to join the effort.
