As anticipation builds, the curtain is set to rise on BTS member V's inaugural solo endeavor, titled "Layover," slated for release on September 8th. At 27, V takes center stage as the final member of BTS to embark on a solo musical voyage, joining the ranks of his fellow bandmates including j-hope, Jin, Suga, RM, Jimin, and Jungkook.

Charting new territory, V enlisted the expertise of Min Hee-jin, the visionary behind renowned girl group NewJeans, to guide his solo album. With Min at the helm, "Layover" promises to be a musical odyssey inspired by V's unique artistic perspective. As the CEO of HYBE's sub-label ADOR and a former creative director at SM, Min brings a wealth of experience to the table, with her work on f(X)'s 2013 release "Pink Tape" serving as a notable highlight.

In a recent interview, V revealed his admiration for "Pink Tape," citing it as a catalyst for his desire to collaborate with Min. "V attempted to bring his unexplored side to the fore in 'Layover,' which fully reflects his (musical) taste," HYBE stated in a release, shedding light on V's creative aspirations for the album.

Setting the stage for the album's debut is "Slow Dancing," a soulful romantic melody that harks back to the sounds of the 1970s. Infused with a carefree and laid-back aura, the track offers an entrancing glimpse into the world V has woven for his solo venture.

Ahead of the album's launch, V introduced two singles, "Love Me Again" and "Rainy Days," both of which surged to the top of global music charts, including Spotify. "Love Me Again" showcases V's distinct R&B flair, while "Rainy Days" encompasses an alternative pop R&B essence, punctuated by distinctive percussion and drum elements.

As the "Layover" era commences, V's first solo project is poised to resonate with fans and music enthusiasts alike, offering a fresh facet of his artistry. The release coincides with a wave of comebacks from esteemed artists across the spectrum, including Young K of the boy band DAY6, whose full-length album "Letter with notes" is slated for September 4th, and Key of SHINee, gearing up to unveil his second mini-album, "Good & Great," on September 11th. Amidst this musical whirlwind, V's solo journey shines brightly as a testament to his evolving identity and creative prowess.
