Renowned K-pop artist G-Dragon, whose real name is Kwon Ji-yong, is scheduled to voluntarily participate in a police questioning session next week in response to allegations of illegal drug use. The Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency will conduct the questioning on Monday as part of an ongoing investigation without detention under suspicion of violating the drugs control act.
G-Dragon firmly denied these allegations on Friday, pledging full cooperation with the investigation. His commitment to cooperation was reiterated in a second statement issued on Monday. The statement also confirmed that he had informed the police of his legal representation and expressed his willingness to undergo a voluntary hair and urine test to establish the truth and prove his innocence.

Reports indicate that the police have officially summoned the K-pop singer for questioning on the afternoon of November 6. The questioning will take place at the Incheon Nonhyeon Police station, where G-Dragon will also undergo a rapid drug test on the same day.
In response to the situation, G-Dragon's lawyer issued a warning against the indiscriminate circulation of false news concerning the singer. The statement urged the media and press to report responsibly to safeguard Kwon Ji-yong's reputation and prevent any irrevocable damage resulting from the spread of inaccurate information. It also cautioned against fabricated reports and defamation, emphasizing the potential for severe legal action.
G-Dragon, 35 years old, rose to fame as the leader of the now-disbanded K-pop group Big Bang. Notably, he was previously represented by YG Entertainment until early this year but currently has no affiliation with the agency. It is worth mentioning that in 2011, Kwon Ji-yong faced investigation for alleged marijuana use at a club in Japan, although the indictment in that case was ultimately suspended.
