Moonbin, a member of the popular K-pop boy group ASTRO, was found dead at the age of 25 at his home in Gangnam District, Seoul, according to the police. The news of his untimely death has sent shockwaves through the K-pop community, with fans and celebrities expressing deep grief and sadness.

Moonbin's manager discovered his body at around 8:10 p.m. on Wednesday after being unable to contact him. The police have indicated that there was no evidence of foul play and believe that Moonbin took his own life, although an autopsy may be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.

Fantagio, Moonbin's agency, released a statement expressing their sorrow over his sudden passing. "Moonbin left us all of a sudden and became a star in the sky," the statement read. "ASTRO members, other Fantagio artists, and officials are mourning him deeply. It is heartbreaking for us to deliver such news to his fans who have been supporting and loving him."

Moonbin, whose real name is Moon Bin, was born in 1998 in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province, South Korea. He began his entertainment career as a child model in 2004 and gained recognition for his appearances in popular Korean dramas and music videos. He debuted as part of ASTRO in 2016 with the single "Hide & Seek," and the group quickly gained a large following with hits like "Crazy Sexy Cool" (2017) and "All Night" (2019). Moonbin was known for his talent in singing and dancing, and he also formed a successful sub-unit with fellow ASTRO member Sanha in 2020.

In addition to his music career, Moonbin also made appearances on various variety shows and gained attention for his performances with his younger sister, Moon Su-a, who is a member of the K-pop girl group Billlie. Moonbin also pursued acting and starred in the 2020 web series "Mermaid Prince: The Beginning."

Moonbin's sudden death has left his fans and fellow celebrities in mourning. Cha Eun-woo, another member of ASTRO, is reportedly returning to Korea from the U.S. urgently, and MJ, who is currently serving in the military, has taken time off to attend Moonbin's funeral. Many TV personalities and industry colleagues have expressed their disbelief and sadness on social media, remembering Moonbin fondly and sending their condolences to his family and friends.

Moonbin's funeral will be a private ceremony, attended only by his family, close friends, and colleagues from Fantagio. His passing has brought a sense of profound loss to the K-pop community, and he will be remembered as a talented and a beloved star whose bright presence will be deeply missed.
