Journey of Asian Women Artists Unfolds at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Seoul

The National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Seoul is hosting the special exhibition “Bodies in Connection – Asian Women Artists” until March 3, 2025.

This exhibition showcases over 130 works by female artists from 11 Asian countries, highlighting their experimental approaches to themes of the body and identity.

Divided into six sections, the exhibition explores the historical experiences etched into the body, the fluidity of gender identity, myths and performance, repetitive gestures, and the evolving concept of the body.

It offers a fresh perspective that transcends conventional views of the female body, illustrating how these artists address social and political issues through their work.

Visitors can immerse themselves in the diverse artistic journeys of women artists across Asia since the 1960s, exploring their cultural and creative explorations.
