Jungkook of BTS Breaks Spotify Record with Debut Solo Single "Seven"

"Seven" Becomes Fastest Song to Achieve 1 Billion Streams, Ahead of Miley Cyrus' "Flowers"

Jungkook, a member of the globally renowned K-pop group BTS, achieved a historic milestone on Tuesday as his debut solo single, "Seven," reached 1 billion streams on the global music streaming platform Spotify.

Spotify made the announcement via social media, revealing that "Seven," featuring American rapper Latto, accomplished this feat in just 108 days since its release, surpassing the previous record set by Miley Cyrus' "Flowers," which took 112 days to achieve the same milestone.

Upon its release on July 14, "Seven" immediately claimed the top spot on Spotify's Daily Top Song Global chart, amassing an impressive 15,995,378 streams. This achievement marked Jungkook as the first K-pop soloist to debut at the pinnacle of the chart.

Additionally, "Seven" made its debut at No. 1 on the highly competitive Billboard Hot 100 songs chart. Subsequently, it went on to become the third most-streamed song on Spotify during the summer.

Jungkook is set to release his first solo album, titled "Golden," on Friday. The album comprises 11 tracks, including the hit single "Seven," "3D," and the lead track "Standing Next to You," as confirmed by his agency, BigHit Music.
