Jennie Lands at No. 69 on Billboard's Hot 100, Breaking Records for Female K-pop Solo Artists; Jungkook Sets Longest Record on Billboard 200 with "Golden"

Jennie of Blackpink has secured the No. 69 position on Billboard's Hot 100 chart with her single "One of the Girls," featured in the HBO series "The Idol," where she also stars. This achievement marks a record for female K-pop solo artists. Previously, Rose of Blackpink held the highest ranking at No. 70 with "On the Ground," followed by Lisa at Nos. 84 and 90 with "Lalisa" and "Money," respectively. Jennie's acting debut in "The Idol" took place in June of the previous year, and she recently established her own agency, OA, for solo projects.

On a parallel note, Jungkook of BTS has set a new milestone by maintaining a presence on the Billboard 200 chart for a consecutive nine weeks with his inaugural solo album, "Golden." This accomplishment surpasses the previous record held by bandmate V, whose solo album "Layover" stayed on the Billboard 200 for eight consecutive weeks. The lead track from Jungkook's album, "Standing Next to You," has also secured a spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for nine consecutive weeks, currently at No. 70. It's noteworthy that Jungkook is presently serving his compulsory military service.
