BBC announced the upcoming entertainment series “Made in Korea: The K-pop Experience,” set to air this summer. The series will document the creation and debut of a British K-pop boy group under the guidance of SM Entertainment, a leading force in K-pop.

Partnering with British entertainment company Moon&Back, SM Entertainment has assembled a five-member boy group for this venture.

The six-episode series will chronicle the members' journey, from their formation under Moon&Back to their intensive K-pop training supervised by SM Entertainment's top choreographers, songwriters, and K-pop experts, all preparing them for a global debut.

Kalpna Patel-Knight, head of Entertainment at BBC, expressed excitement: “This unique acquisition will showcase exactly what it takes to succeed in the world of K-pop. Witnessing the band come together and undergo rigorous training promises to captivate audiences.”

Nigel Hall, co-founder of Moon&Back, added: “’Made in Korea: The K-Pop Experience’ combines the best of K-pop and global entertainment production. Forming a British boy band, guiding them through the challenging K-pop process, and launching them onto the global stage creates a groundbreaking and must-watch television event.”

The series is scheduled to premiere on BBC One and BBC iPlayer this summer.
