An Artist Capturing the Essence of Life Through Stitching on Living Plants

The 21st solo exhibition of artist Jang Uk Hee, who examines the relationship between humanity and nature through plants, is being held at Gallery Sein.

The exhibition Says, It Was Love delves into themes of ecological cycles, coexistence, and the essence of life, conveyed through the artist's unique artistic vision.

The artist highlights how potted plants, nurtured by humans, represent nature confined for human convenience.

In particular, by using thread, plastic, and stainless steel, the artist portrays plants entangled in artificial structures, exposing the ecological conflict between humanity and nature.

Visitors will have the opportunity to reflect deeply on messages of coexistence and reconciliation between humanity and the natural world through this exhibition.
