Informed music industry sources reveal that the remaining four members of K-pop sensation BTS—RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook—will commence their mandatory military service next month. RM and V are scheduled to enlist on December 11, followed by Jimin and Jungkook on the subsequent day.

Under South Korea's conscription law revised in 2020, all able-bodied men are obligated to serve in the military for approximately two years. The members were granted the option to postpone their military service until the end of the year they turn 30.

Joining their bandmates—Jin, J-Hope, and Suga—who are already in military service, the four members are anticipated to complete their military duties and be discharged in June 2025 if they enlist next month.

BigHit Music, the agency representing BTS, announced a week ago that the four members had initiated the necessary steps for fulfilling their military obligations, pledging to provide detailed plans once finalized. In December 2021, Jin became the first BTS member to commence military service, followed by J-Hope in April, both serving as drill instructors. Suga began his military service in September as a social service agent.

Despite the members' temporary hiatus, BTS has reassured fans that the group will make a full return in 2025 after all members have completed their mandatory military service.
