Jungkook, the youngest member of the wildly popular K-pop group BTS, has broken a Guinness World Record for becoming the fastest K-pop soloist to surpass 1 billion streams on the global music streaming service, Spotify. What makes this achievement even more impressive is that he did it before his official solo debut.
The record was achieved through the success of Jungkook's solo tracks, "Stay Alive," "Left And Right," a collaboration with U.S. pop star Charlie Puth, and "Dreamers," the official FIFA World Cup 2022 soundtrack. The feat was accomplished on March 27, just 409 days after the songs' release dates, beating the previous record held by Lisa of the girl group Blackpink, who reached the threshold in 411 days.

Jungkook has released solo tracks as part of BTS's albums but has not had a solo debut like other members such as Jin, J-Hope, Jimin, RM, and Suga. However, he has had success with other solo tracks such as "Begin" (2016), "Euphoria" (2018), and "My Time" (2020).
The news of Jungkook's accomplishment comes as anticipation builds for his solo album, which is set to be released this year. So far, only Jungkook and V have not released solo albums among the seven members of BTS.
