A Journey Through 10 Years of Kwon Soon Ik's Abstract Art: A Fusion of Tradition and Modernity

Kwon Soon Ik's fourth solo exhibition, "Here," is being held at Art SoHyang in Busan until the 30th of this month.

Through unique Korean color schemes and abstract forms, Kwon explores the profound relationship between time and place.

The title, "Here," extends beyond a physical space, embracing a complex meaning that encompasses the past, present, and future.

The exhibition reflects Kwon's journey over the last decade, starting from early works using coal dust and water, progressing through color field abstraction, and culminating in his recent "Line" series.

The exhibit includes distinctive pieces, such as installations crafted with traditional roof tiles and self-portraits set against his studio backdrop.

Through this exhibition, viewers are invited to navigate between tradition and modernity, discovering new artistic perspectives.
