In the recently concluded Circle Chart Music Awards 2023, girl group NewJeans emerged as the big winner, securing the most trophies at the ceremony hosted by Circle Chart, a prominent tracker of local album sales. The event took place at Bexco in Busan on Wednesday, with winners determined by the commercial performances of albums and songs tracked from December 1, 2022, to November 30, 2023.

NewJeans took home four trophies, including three Artist of the Year awards in the album, digital, and unique listeners categories, along with the Music Steady Seller of the Year award. The group gained significant popularity in the past year with their chart-topping hits "Ditto" and "Super Shy."
Meanwhile, the Rookie of the Year awards went to Babymonster, Zerobaseone, and Riize. YG's new girl group, Babymonster, secured the Rookie of the Year award for global streaming. Notably, their debut song, "Batter Up," surpassed 10 million streams on Spotify within 10 days, setting a record as the fastest for a K-pop girl group debut song. The total streams exceeded 40 million as of Monday.
Zerobaseone, a nine-member boy group, clinched the Rookie of the Year award in the album category. This accolade adds to their impressive tally of eight rookie awards from major domestic pop music ceremonies, including the Golden Disk Awards and the Seoul Music Awards.
SM Entertainment's new boy band, Riize, secured a trophy in the unique listeners category of the Rookie of the Year award with their debut song, "Get A Guitar."
In addition to the individual and rookie awards, NCT Dream, Seventeen, Jungkook of BTS, Ive, and (G)I-dle each received three awards, further highlighting the diverse array of talent recognized at the Circle Chart Music Awards 2023.
