BTS's Jimin Achieves 100 Million Views on YouTube with Solo Hit "Like Crazy"

A Remarkable Milestone for K-pop as Jimin's Solo Track Continues to Soar

Big Hit Music

Jimin, a prominent member of the globally acclaimed K-pop group BTS, has accomplished a remarkable feat with the music video for his solo single, "Like Crazy," crossing an impressive 100 million views on YouTube, as announced by Big Hit Music on Thursday. The track is a prominent feature of his first solo album, "Face," released in March, which made history by claiming the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart—a first for a K-pop solo artist.

"Like Crazy" made waves globally, securing the No. 1 position on iTunes top songs chart in a staggering 111 regions, along with Oricon's daily digital single ranking. The song's impact also extended to the UK, where it achieved a notable position, ranking at No. 8 on the Official Singles Chart Top 100.

A testament to Jimin's versatile talents, he actively participated in crafting the synth-pop tune, drawing inspiration from the 2011 American film of the same title, directed by Drake Doremus. The song received platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America last month, achieving this milestone in about 155 days since its release—an additional record for a K-pop solo act. Jimin's continued success demonstrates the growing global influence of K-pop, marking an exciting milestone in his flourishing solo career.
