Jungkook of the boy band BTS has earned platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for his solo single "Seven (feat. Latto)." The song has surpassed one million units in sales since its release in July.

This marks Jungkook's first certification since his collaboration song with Charlie Puth, "Left and Right" (2022), which received a gold certification from the RIAA.

The RIAA awards gold certification when a digital single or album reaches sales of over 500,000 units, while platinum is granted for over 1 million units. The terms multi-platinum and diamond are used for sales exceeding 2 million and 10 million units, respectively.

The units encompass both physical and digital album sales, digital downloads, and audio and video streaming.

Jungkook recently released his first solo album, "Golden," consisting of 11 songs, including "Seven," "3D (feat. Jack Harlow)," and the lead track "Standing Next to You." The album achieved remarkable success, with over two million copies sold on its first day, setting a record for the highest sales by a K-pop soloist.
