Sculptor Jeremy Thomas selected by Paik Hae-young Gallery / the GALLERIES ART FAIR 2023

The GALLERIES ASSOCIATION OF KOREA, which garnered global attention with last year's "Frieze Seoul," has commenced its largest-ever "GALLERIES ART FAIR 2023."

This year's fair opened with a VIP preview at 3 p.m. on Wednesday at COEX in Samsung-dong, Gangnam-Gu, Seoul and will run until the 16th

As the organizer of the event, the GALLERIES ASSOCIATION OF KOREA is a private organization composed of renowned galleries in Korea, which co-hosted "Frieze SEOUL" in collaboration with the international art fair, "Frieze," last year.

This year, a total of 156 member galleries has participated, submitting 10,000 works from over 900 artists. The current fair is the 41st edition and the largest in scale in its history.


Among the 156 galleries that participated, the booth of the Paik Hae Young Gallery drew a large crowd of spectators.

The notable artist in Paik’s booth was the American artist, Jeremy Thomas. This year, the Paik Hae Young Gallery is collaborating with the Walking House in NewYork for this exhibition. According to her explanation, Jeremy Thomas is a renowned American sculptor known for his Blo-Forming technique. His works are known for their unique color and aesthetic appeal, often appearing in the field of public art. In particular, his works are famous for being one-of-a-kind pieces without editions. He has also presented highly finished works through deep research on materials and colors over a long period of time.
