Jaehyun of NCT has been invited to make a guest appearance alongside American singer-songwriter Lauv at the Seoul Jazz Festival 2024, SM Entertainment announced Thursday. Lauv, who is headlining the festival on June 2, asked Jaehyun to join him on stage via a message exchange, which he shared publicly. Lauv’s invitation read, “Any chance you wanna come out and perform a song at my headline show in Korea on Sunday???”
Jaehyun and Lauv have maintained contact since 2019, when Jaehyun’s cover of Lauv’s song “I Like Me Better” gained significant attention, accumulating over 100 million views on YouTube. Lauv acknowledged the cover with a positive response.
In addition to this collaboration, Jaehyun is preparing to release his first solo album in the third quarter of this year.
