On Wednesday, K-pop girl group Dreamcatcher released their ninth EP, "VillainS," marking the first installment of their new two-part series, "VersuS." The album consists of five tracks: "Intro: This My Fashion," lead track "OOTD," "Rising," "Shatter," and "We Are Young."
During a showcase at Konkuk University's Millennium Hall in Seoul, the group conveyed a message of confidence and individuality. JiU, one of the members, emphasized that being a villain, as portrayed in the series, is akin to being unapologetically oneself, with a carefree attitude towards others' opinions, particularly evident in one's outfit choices.

The lead track, "OOTD" (Outfit of the Day), described as a pop-punk anthem, encourages embracing a "destructive and extraordinary" confidence. The music video features the members donning chic outfits, emphasizing the central theme of individuality and boldness.
Dreamcatcher's "VersuS" series aims to convey a message of confidence, a departure from their previous album series that delved into themes like environmental issues ("Apocalypse" series) and cyberbullying ("Dystopia" series).
The group expressed ambitious goals for their comeback, including an Asia tour and securing a No. 1 trophy on weekly televised music programs. Members SuA and Siyeon expressed their desire for fans to be surprised by the group's new concept and promised to perform "OOTD" live on a roller coaster if they achieve a No. 1 ranking.
Despite being in their seventh year together, Dreamcatcher remains filled with ideas for the future, with SuA highlighting the group's enjoyment in exploring new concepts and eagerly anticipating future releases. Dreamcatcher, formed in 2017, consists of members JiU, SuA, Siyeon, Handong, Yoohyeon, Dami, and Gahyeon, and has maintained a dark fantasy dystopian theme throughout their career.
