In a notable achievement for the burgeoning K-Pop scene, NewJeans' second EP has secured the 197th spot on the Billboard 200, marking an impressive 26 weeks on the prestigious chart, as reported by agency Ador on Wednesday.

This accomplishment draws parallels to Blackpink's record-setting streak with their first full album, "The Album." Notably, NewJeans currently stands as the closest competitor to the unmatched success of BTS in this regard.

The group's EP, titled "Get Up," made its debut at the summit of the Billboard 200 in August, solidifying their presence in the global music landscape. Among the EP's tracks, "Super Shy" garnered attention by maintaining an eight-week presence on Billboard's Hot 100, reaching a peak position of 48.

NewJeans' musical prowess has earned them nominations at the upcoming iHeartRadio Music Awards. "Super Shy" is in contention for the K-Pop Song of the Year, while the five-member group is nominated for Best New Artist in K-Pop. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony scheduled for April 1 in Los Angeles.
