In July, the thriller film "Project Silence" is scheduled to hit theaters, distributed by CJ ENM. Directed by Kim Tae-gon, the film portrays a survival story of individuals trapped in a foggy bridge en route to an airport, facing attacks from military dogs. Lee Sun-kyun stars as Cha Jeong-won, an administrator at the nation’s security office, while Ju Ji-hoon portrays Joe Park, a character driven by financial motives.

"Project Silence" was featured in the Midnight Screening section of the 76th Cannes Film Festival last year.

In August, "The Land of Happiness" will be released by distributor NEW. Lee Sun-kyun portrays Park Tae-joo, while Jo Jung-suk plays the defending lawyer.

Lee Sun-kyun, who debuted in 2001, gained international recognition through his role in "Parasite" (2019), directed by Bong Joon-ho, which received accolades at major film festivals and award ceremonies.

The actor was involved in a drug scandal in October of last year and underwent police questioning. He passed away on December 27 of the same year.
