Lisa, a prominent member of the K-pop girl group Blackpink, has had her official Weibo account, @lalalalisa_m, suspended. The suspension comes in the wake of her participation in five "Crazy Horse" performances held in Paris last September. Weibo, one of China's largest social media platforms, is commonly used by various K-pop stars for self-promotion.
As of Wednesday afternoon, attempts to search for Lisa's Weibo account proved futile, according to a CNN report. Conversely, the accounts of the other Blackpink members, including Jisoo, Jennie, and Rose, remain accessible and searchable on the platform.
The CNN report stated, "Blackpink star Lisa’s Chinese social media page on Weibo appears to have been taken down, weeks after she performed a burlesque routine in Paris that sparked a huge debate on China’s tightly regulated internet."

Attempting to locate Lisa's Weibo account now results in a notification that reads, "The account is no longer accessible due to complaints of violations of laws and regulations and the relevant provisions of the Weibo Community Convention."
The precise nature of the complaints that led to the suspension remains unclear. Chinese web companies frequently suspend or remove pages that violate the country's strict censorship rules or generate significant controversy, according to CNN.
The "Crazy Horse" burlesque show is renowned as one of the premier performances of its kind, alongside "Moulin Rouge" and the "Lido Champagne Show." However, it has faced criticism from certain Asian audiences with more conservative preferences due to the nudity of its female performers.
