NHN Enterprise, a subsidiary of NHN Cloud, announced its 2025 strategic plans for AppPaaS, its all-in-one cloud platform, on November 30. Launched in beta in April, AppPaaS operates under the motto "The simplest cloud environment in the world," offering an intuitive platform for managing cloud-native services from build and deployment to monitoring.

AppPaaS stands out for its ease of use, enabling even customers with no prior cloud management expertise to set up development environments and infrastructure with just four clicks. By simplifying these processes, the platform allows businesses to focus on developing content and services, minimizing time and cost burdens.

In 2025, NHN Enterprise aims to expand its reach within the individual developer (B2C) and small-to-medium business (SMB) cloud markets, ultimately targeting enterprise clients. To achieve this, the company plans to enhance AppPaaS’s capabilities, positioning it as the go-to solution for streamlined cloud deployment and management.

Key upgrades include the introduction of team management features, allowing multiple users to collaborate efficiently by assigning roles and permissions. Additionally, the platform will support advanced backup and recovery tools to safeguard deployed databases.

AppPaaS will also improve user convenience by facilitating seamless integration with popular open-source solutions and enabling easy domain linking. Users will be able to connect their custom domains to the platform with minimal effort, complementing the default domain provided during deployment.

Since its beta release, NHN Enterprise has focused on enhancing AppPaaS’s versatility and reliability. Supported frameworks have expanded from two to twelve, allowing users to choose options tailored to their needs. The platform now includes an autoscaling feature to manage server traffic during high loads and offers real-time server resource monitoring and alert systems based on operational data.

These improvements have driven organic growth, with a steady increase in adoption among SMBs and individual developers without the need for aggressive marketing.

NHN Enterprise CEO Kim Dong Hoon highlighted the platform’s growth potential, stating, "Since launching the beta, our top priority has been providing stable services while advancing AppPaaS. In 2025, we will focus on maximizing its strengths to make it indispensable not only for B2C and SMB markets but also for enterprise clients."

AppPaaS represents NHN Enterprise’s commitment to innovation, delivering practical solutions that cater to diverse customer needs while simplifying complex cloud operations.
