The upcoming North Kingstown troll is one of two new installations made possible through a grant secured by the South County Tourism Council. The second sculpture will be built and installed somewhere in Richmond, further expanding the trail's reach across the state.

It remains unclear whether the trail will expand beyond these five sculptures in the future, but the current expansion represents a significant investment in public art and tourism development.
While the grant will cover the majority of the overall cost, North Kingstown has launched a comprehensive sponsorship campaign to ensure the town's first public art installation receives full funding. Several local businesses have already stepped forward to support the project, including McKays Front Porch, Heritage Kitchens, and Rhode Island Energy, all of which have pledged to sponsor the troll sculpture.
The town is also actively seeking volunteers to assist Dambo throughout the construction process, offering community members a unique opportunity to participate in creating this landmark installation. Those interested in joining the effort can sign up online for work sessions, which are scheduled as four-hour shifts on various days and times between August 13th and 24th.
