The Anime × Game Festival 2024 (AGF 2024), held on December 7 and 8 at KINTEX in Ilsan, concluded with resounding success. As Korea’s largest anime and gaming festival, AGF 2024 broke previous records, drawing a staggering 72,081 attendees over two days, marking a 10% increase compared to the previous year.
Co-hosted by AniPlus, Daewon Media, Sony Music, and DNC Media, this year’s AGF featured its largest-ever roster of 75 exhibitors. Major sponsors included Kuro Games' Wuthering Waves, Smilegate, and Megabox, further elevating the event’s profile. For the first time, AGF expanded its footprint to occupy all five halls of the KINTEX Exhibition Center, creating an immersive and expansive experience for attendees.
AGF 2024 introduced new systems to enhance the visitor experience, including fast-track tickets for quicker entry and a revamped online reservation system for the popular RED Stage events, reducing wait times and ensuring smooth access to highly anticipated performances.
The event delivered an array of exclusive attractions. Wuthering Waves showcased voice actor talks, cosplay events, and a culinary collaboration with GS25, aptly named “Tingjo Gourmet Fair.” AniPlus recreated iconic moments from Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Arc through interactive exhibits, merchandise shops, and a themed café. Webzen unveiled its new title Terbies, while Netmarble celebrated the 7th anniversary of Fate/Grand Order with live radio shows, OX quizzes, and merchandise sales.

Renowned voice actors such as Yuikawa Asaki and Hino Mari from The Great Escape Young Lord captivated audiences, followed by Ootsuka Takeo, Igoma Yurie, and Han Megumi from the hit anime Oshi no Ko. Celebrating the 25th anniversary of One Piece, Kitadani Hiroshi and Korean voice actors Kang Soo Jin and Kim Hye Sung shared behind-the-scenes stories that delighted fans.
Other standout moments included appearances by Ogata Megumi from Jujutsu Kaisen 0, Yamashita Daiki and Kaji Yuuki from My Hero Academia: The Movie, and special stages for Blue Archive: The Animation. Hololive Meet AZKi and Roboco’s performances also garnered enthusiastic responses. On the BLUE Stage, DJ Kazu led an electrifying anime song DJ session, accompanied by voice actors from Power Rangers Kingdom Force, sustaining the festival’s high energy throughout.
Additional highlights included the Ultraman Card Game showcase featuring Ultraman Tiga and Ultraman Zero, the Kotobukiya Model Kit Contest 2024, and mini-concerts from Meechu and Lost Sword. The AGF Special Theater at Megabox KINTEX screened popular titles such as Demon Slayer: The Movie series, The Idolmaster Million Live! trilogy, and Kaguya-sama: Love is War - The First Kiss Never Ends, leaving audiences enthralled to the very end.
Reflecting on the overwhelming success, the AGF Organizing Committee shared their gratitude: “We are deeply moved by the enthusiasm and support shown by attendees. In response, we will work tirelessly to deliver an even more exceptional experience at next year’s event.”
