Actor Song Joong Ki has welcomed his second child, a baby girl, with wife Katy Louise Saunders. The actor shared the joyous news with fans through a post on his official fan cafe on November 20, expressing his gratitude and happiness.
“Hello, this is Joong Ki,” he began in his message. “I’m currently in Rome, and I’ve met another beautiful baby.” He revealed that his wife had given birth to a healthy baby girl, affectionately calling her their “beautiful princess.” Song also shared that both mother and child were resting well, radiating his pride and joy.
Song expressed his heartfelt thanks to his fans, known as Ki Aile, for their unwavering support. “Because of the love and trust you all have shown me, wonderful things continue to come my way,” he wrote, acknowledging the role his fandom has played in his life’s milestones.
The actor also provided an update on his career, revealing that he is in the middle of filming the drama My Youth. He described the project as a heartwarming story, saying, “I hope you’ll enjoy watching a drama that feels healing for the soul.”
Concluding his post, Song wrote, “I will continue taking good care of my family here and return to filming soon. I hope you all have a warm and happy end of the year. I love you all, always.”
Song Joong Ki married Katy Louise Saunders in January 2022, announcing her pregnancy shortly afterward. Their first child, a son, was born in June of the same year in Rome, Italy, where the couple currently resides.
In addition to his milestones, Song remains active professionally. Last month, he attended the Busan International Film Festival for the world premiere of his film Bogotá: City of the Last Chance.
