Johyun Gallery, one of Korea’s leading contemporary art galleries, will participate in Art Basel Miami Beach for the first time in December 2025, the gallery announced.
Established in 1989, the Busan- and Seoul-based gallery said its inaugural appearance marks a significant step in bringing its long-standing program to the center of the international art market. Johyun Gallery will exhibit in Booth F2, presenting a curated selection that bridges the historical foundations of Korean modern and contemporary art with its most dynamic current developments.
The presentation will feature major works by key figures such as Kim Tschang-Yeul, Park Seo-Bo and Kim Chong-Hak, artists who have shaped the trajectory of postwar Korean art. Their inclusion aligns with ongoing institutional attention, including retrospectives at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea (MMCA), and touring exhibitions in the United States.
Alongside these masters, the booth will highlight a group of actively expanding contemporary voices, including Lee Bae, currently exhibiting in Berlin and Japan, and ecological artist Hwang Jihae. Additional featured artists include Kim Taek-Sang, Lee Kwang-Ho, Kang Kang-Hoon, and Lee So-Yeon, whose works reflect the gallery’s commitment to a multigenerational and conceptually diverse program.
Johyun Gallery has also released a VIP preview catalog containing detailed information on all works to be shown at the fair. The gallery encouraged collectors to review the selection as an early insight into its Art Basel Miami Beach debut.
