Project Space Sarubia is presenting a two-person exhibition by Dobin Kim and Setbyul Li as the first installment of its 2026 program Studio Project 3. The exhibition runs through Nov. 1 in Seoul’s Jongno District.
Studio Project 3 is designed for emerging artists working outside the institutional framework of art school education. The program combines curatorial guidance, critical discussion and mentoring by established artists to strengthen communication between different generations of practitioners.
Kim was one of three emerging artists selected through an open call held last September. Following a series of discussions examining his work and creative approach, he was paired with Li as a senior artist whose practice could help expand his ideas and working methods.
During the mentoring and critique process, the two artists considered the direction of Kim’s practice and developed the structure of the exhibition together. Their resulting presentation places their respective perspectives in dialogue rather than treating mentorship as a one-way transfer of knowledge.
The exhibition begins a sequence of two-person shows organised under Studio Project 3. Each installment will pair an emerging artist with a more experienced practitioner and present the results of their shared discussions and curatorial process.
The exhibition was curated by Project Space Sarubia, with program coordination and writing by Lee Kwan-hoon. Graphic design was completed by Cho Hyung-seok. The project is supported by the Arts Council Korea’s visual arts program.
The exhibition runs through Nov. 1 at PS Sarubia, located in the basement of 4 Jahamun-ro 16-gil, Jongno District, Seoul. It is open from noon to 7 p.m. from Wednesday through Sunday and closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
