Lee Kun Yong holds a first solo exhibition in Switzerland at Pace Gallery Geneva

Lee Kun-Yong, a pioneering figure in Korean contemporary art, is holding his first solo exhibition in Switzerland at Pace Gallery in Geneva, running until November 6.

This exhibition provides a comprehensive look at Lee's innovative body of work, featuring seven paintings and four drawings from his Bodyscape series, along with photographs documenting his performances.

Regarded as one of Korea’s most influential experimental artists, Lee has spent over fifty years exploring artistic boundaries through the medium of the body.

His unique practice, developed against the backdrop of repressive sociopolitical conditions in Korea during the 1960s and 1970s, reflects the challenges of that era.

Lee describes his work as “not special but a form of communication with what is close to us.”

Through this exhibition, visitors will have the opportunity to experience Lee's vibrant works that capture the raw and primal expressions of human movement and energy.
