BOYNEXTDOOR stopped at laying the initial foundation for global market expansion by broadening their tour regions to North America, based on increased physical album sales and overseas chart entries compared to their previous work.
According to SayArt on the 16th, BOYNEXTDOOR, managed by KOZ Entertainment, will embark on a 35-show world tour following their achievement of reaching 93rd on the US Billboard main album chart 'Billboard 200' with their 2nd EP 'HOW'.
The first world tour, 'KNOCK ON Vol.2', will be held from the 17th to the 19th at the KSPO Dome in Songpa-gu, Seoul. They confirmed the world tour schedule as part of their second-half activities after recently completing official promotions for their 1st studio album 'HOME'.
After the Seoul concerts, the tour will pass through Busan and continue to Japan. Solo concerts are scheduled to be held in six Japanese cities, including Kanagawa, Saga, Osaka, Miyagi, Nagano, and Chiba.
They will then move to the Americas to tour 10 North American regions, including Dallas, Pompano Beach, Chicago, New York, Toronto, and Vancouver. Additionally, they will visit six Asian cities, including Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, and Hong Kong, taking the stage in a total of 24 cities.
The members stated through their agency that they reflected the experiences gained from their previous Asian tour in this upcoming performance. They explained their preparation process, mentioning, "We are curious about how ONEDOOR will perceive it," and "We will dye the first step without regrets."
The actual profitability and establishment in the North American market following this overseas stage expansion have not yet been confirmed by data. KOZ Entertainment views that the recognition accumulated from previous Asian activities has had a partially positive impact on attracting audiences for this North American tour.
Whether the aforementioned expansion of the tour scale can prove actual local fandom expansion in Western markets such as North America is expected to be evaluated based on indicators after the entire tour schedule is completed. The long-term maintenance of global audience mobilization power remains a future task.
