The title track "Roll Up" showcases an impressive lineup of producers, including Rob Grimaldi, Alina Smith, Lauren Dyson, A Wright, Alex Schwoebel, Rence, and Matty Michna. These names are notable for their work on BTS's global hit "Butter" and Blackpink's popular track "Love to Hate Me." The song is expected to blend diverse musical influences, reflecting the group's unique multicultural background.
The choreography for "Roll Up" is crafted by the renowned choreographer Kany, who has previously worked with international icons like Beyoncé and SHINee. The music video, directed by Lee Sa-kang of the Zanybros team, was filmed in the vibrant city of Dubai, adding a glamorous backdrop to the group's performance.
The EP also includes the B-side track "C’est jamais vue," co-written by Blackswan's leader Fatou, who hails from Senegal and was raised in Belgium. Another notable track, "Double Down," is a lively summer anthem that was first performed during the group's appearance at Waterbomb Dubai in June.
Since their debut in October 2020, Blackswan has stood out in the K-pop industry for its entirely non-Korean lineup. The current members are Fatou, Gabi from Brazil, NVee from the United States, and Sriya from India. Their diverse backgrounds have helped them build a unique identity and global fanbase. This year, they completed a tour in the United States in November, held a standalone concert in Mumbai, India in February, and performed at Waterbomb Dubai in July, showcasing their growing international appeal.
