The 2026 Seoul Music Festival will take place at Nodeul Island on Oct. 24, bringing free performances and public music programs to the newly renovated riverside venue.
Launched in 2019, the annual festival is designed as an open event where Seoul residents and visitors can experience Korean popular music. This year’s edition will be held in the island’s waterfront area, which reopened in September following construction work.
The main concert will begin at 5 p.m. and feature Chudahye Chagis, Nerd Connection, Kwon Jin-ah, Rooftop Moonlight, Paul Kim and the Kim Chang-wan Band. GLL will appear in a preliminary performance.
The lineup covers fusion rock, ballads and folk music, bringing together musicians from different generations and areas of the Korean music scene.
Programs outside the main stage will begin at noon at Nodeul Square. An exhibition and listening area organised in collaboration with the Korean Music Awards will introduce selected albums, while busking performances and a music talk show will run throughout the day. A photo booth and public karaoke area will also be available.
Advance reservations opened on Sept. 30 and all seats were claimed within one minute. The Seoul Companion Seats, reserved for families with multiple children, socially vulnerable groups and international visitors, also reached capacity early.
Although reserved seating for the main concert is sold out, limited standing access may be available in open areas depending on conditions at the venue. The concert will also be streamed live through the city-run Live Seoul platform. Public programs at Nodeul Square do not require advance reservations.
Nodeul Island is undergoing redevelopment as part of Seoul’s plan to transform the area into the Nodeul Global Art Island by 2030.
