The song "Fate," featured in K-pop group (G)I-DLE's second full-length album "2," has risen to the number one position on various music streaming charts, including Bugs, one of Korea's popular streaming services. Despite its release on January 29, the track has experienced a resurgence in popularity, outperforming the lead single "Super Lady" from the same album. It currently holds the top position on Bugs' real-time chart, with "Bam Yang Gang" by Bibi, "Plot Twist" by TWS, and "Easy" by Le Sserafim following closely behind.

Soyeon, the leader of (G)I-DLE, shared insights into the song's creation process, describing it as a reflection on the feeling of heartbreak triggered by chance encounters with strangers. The group, comprised of members Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua, debuted in 2018 with the track "Latata."
On March 15, (G)I-DLE released a collaborative single titled "This Time Around" with American singer-actor Jennifer Lopez, a remixed version of Lopez's original February release of the same name.
