NewJeans, the sensational girl group that has been making waves in the K-pop scene, is set to release music videos for their track "Cool With You," building on the global success of their pre-release hit, "Super Shy." The music videos will be unveiled on Wednesday night, just two days before the official release of their highly anticipated second EP, "Get Up," on Friday.
The music videos for "Cool With You" come in two versions, A and B, and are said to feature "two completely unexpected global stars," as revealed by ADOR, the agency representing NewJeans, on Monday.
"Cool With You" is one of the three lead tracks from "Get Up," alongside "ETA" and the chart-topping "Super Shy." The EP also includes three additional tracks: "New Jeans," "Get Up," and "ASAP."
"ETA" was first introduced to fans during NewJeans' event in May, generating excitement among their dedicated fanbase.
Since its release on July 7, "Super Shy" has taken the music charts by storm, claiming the top spot on major Korean platforms such as Melon, Genie, Bugs, and FLO. Its global appeal has been equally impressive, reaching No. 9 on the U.S. Spotify's Daily Top Song chart and No. 59 on the British Official Chart's singles chart.
NewJeans has emerged as one of the most prominent names in K-pop this year, achieving remarkable success with their previous hits including "Ditto" (2022), "OMG," and "Hype boy" (2022). These three tracks were the most-streamed and downloaded songs in the first half of 2023, according to music sales tracker Circle Chart. Additionally, their debut track "Attention" (2022) secured the seventh spot among the most-streamed and downloaded songs in Korea.
The girl group has also received several prestigious rookie awards at major domestic music ceremonies, including the 2023 Golden Disc Awards, the 20th Korean Music Awards, the 32nd Seoul Music Awards, and the Asia Artist Awards.
With the release of the music videos for "Cool With You" and the upcoming arrival of "Get Up," NewJeans continues to solidify its position as a rising force in the K-pop industry, captivating fans both in Korea and around the world with their infectious sound and charismatic performances.
