As the streak of comebacks by girl groups in the K-Pop scene continues, one of the biggest female idol groups, Le Sserafim, is gearing up for a new release. On May 1st, the quintet will be releasing their first full-length album, titled "Unforgiven," which marks their first anniversary as a group.
To make a grand entrance for their new album, Le Sserafim will be hosting their own show, which will be aired worldwide simultaneously through Mnet's and M2’s YouTube channels, as well as in CGV theaters on the day of the album's drop. Fans can expect to see the group perform their titular track "Unforgiven," as well as sidetracks "Burn the Bridge," "No-Return," and "Eve, Psyche & The Bluebeard’s wife" for the first time during the show.
In the album, Le Sserafim once again infused their thoughts and experiences to convey their desire to venture forth on their own path, free from others' judgment. All members took part in writing the lyrics for the first time in this album to a fan song for their fandom Fearnot, adding a personal touch to the release.
Le Sserafim has been gaining popularity since their debut in 2020, and their new album is highly anticipated by fans both in Korea and around the world. The group was formed by the same label as popular girl groups such as Red Velvet and NCT, and has already made a name for themselves in the industry.
As girl groups continue to dominate the K-Pop scene, it will be interesting to see what new music and concepts Le Sserafim brings to the table with their first full-length album.
