After a hiatus of almost two years, iKON is set to make a comeback with its third full-length album, “Take Off,” on May 4. The seven-member group, which includes B.I, Bobby, Jay, Ju-ne, Song, DK and Chan joined a new label, 143 Entertainment, early this year after their exclusive contract with YG Entertainment expired in December.
“Take Off” is highly anticipated by iKONICs, the group’s dedicated fandom, who have been eagerly waiting for new music from their idols. The album will be led by the titular track “U” and subtitular track “Tantara,” followed by eight sidetracks.
According to a statement from the group’s agency, the album will showcase iKON’s signature style, blending hip-hop, R&B, and pop elements. The members have been actively involved in the production of the album, contributing to the lyrics and composition of several tracks.
In addition to group performances, the album will also feature some solo numbers for iKON members Yunhyeong, Donghyuk and Ju-ne. This will give fans a chance to appreciate the individual talents of each member while enjoying the group’s music as a whole.
iKON’s new album marks a fresh start for the group under a new label, and expectations are high among fans and industry insiders alike. The group’s previous releases have been well received, with hits such as “Love Scenario” and “Killing Me” achieving commercial success and critical acclaim.
As the K-pop industry continues to grow and evolve, iKON’s new album is a testament to the enduring popularity of boy groups and the dedication of their fans. With “Take Off,” iKON is poised to take their music to new heights and solidify their place in the K-pop pantheon.
