EMK Musical Company Unveils New Cast for ‘Mozart!’ Musical in Korea

EMK Musical Company, the production company behind the renowned musical ‘Mozart!’, recently announced the casting of four new Mozarts for their upcoming production in 2023. The company released a dramatic teaser video and photos, generating significant buzz in the industry.
The new cast includes Lee Hae-jun, Suho from popular boy group EXO, HWE SEUNG YOO from the talented band N.Flying, and Kim Hee-jae. Lee Hae-jun, known for his impressive acting skills, will take on the lead role of Mozart, while Suho has proven his ability as an actor through his performances in musicals, dramas, and movies. HWE SEUNG YOO, who has been dubbed a “next-generation vocalist” for his exceptional singing ability, and Kim Hee-jae, an all-round entertainer, will also showcase their talents in the production.
The musical ‘Mozart!’ tells the story of the inner turmoil of the legendary composer Mozart. Since its premiere in Korea in 2010, the production has been highly acclaimed for its delicate portrayal of the artist’s struggles.
The 2023 production of ‘Mozart!’ will be led by general producer Um Hong-hyun, who has previously introduced European musicals such as “Rebecca,” “Elisabeth,” and “Monte Cristo” to the Korean musical scene.
The musical will be performed at the Grand Theater of the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts in Seoul starting from June 15th. The addition of the new cast is expected to bring a fresh perspective to the classic production, offering a unique experience for fans of the musical genre.
