V of the global sensation BTS has achieved another milestone on the UK's Official charts with his solo single "Slow Dancing," extending his own record for the longest streak by a K-pop solo artist.
The focus track from his solo album "Layover," "Slow Dancing," maintained a strong presence on the charts, securing the 68th position on the singles download chart and the 76th spot on the singles sales chart. This accomplishment adds to V's remarkable feat of being the first K-pop solo act to simultaneously top both the Official albums and singles charts in the UK.
Notably, "Layover" made history on the Billboard 200, remaining on the chart for seven consecutive weeks—a groundbreaking achievement for a K-pop soloist. The album's impressive debut saw over 2 million copies sold in its first week, marking a significant milestone not witnessed in the K-pop solo scene for 23 years.
V's continued success on international charts underscores the global appeal of BTS and its members, solidifying their position as trailblazers in the music industry.
