Park Chang-sik, president of the Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange (KOFICE), has outlined his ambitious vision to establish Korea as the leading cultural hub throughout Asia. The organization's chief executive shared his strategic plans during a recent interview at KOFICE headquarters located in Seoul's Yeongdeungpo District.
As the head of one of Korea's most influential cultural exchange organizations, Park emphasized the country's growing soft power and its potential to serve as a bridge between Eastern and Western cultures. His leadership comes at a time when Korean cultural content, including K-pop, Korean dramas, and films, continues to gain unprecedented global recognition and influence.
The interview took place on July 30 at the foundation's main offices, where Park discussed various initiatives and programs designed to strengthen Korea's cultural diplomacy efforts across the Asian region. KOFICE has been instrumental in promoting Korean culture internationally and fostering cultural exchanges with countries worldwide.
Park's vision reflects Korea's increasing confidence in its cultural offerings and its desire to play a more prominent role in shaping Asia's cultural landscape. The foundation continues to work on expanding its reach and developing new partnerships that will help realize this ambitious goal of cultural leadership in the region.
