K-pop artist Daesung is set to launch his first solo Asia tour, marking a significant chapter in his career as an independent artist. The tour, titled D’s WAVE, will commence in Seoul on April 6, followed by scheduled performances in major cities across Asia including Ho Chi Minh City, Taipei, Hong Kong, Kobe, and Yokohama starting in May.

This tour signifies Daesung’s return to the spotlight as a solo performer, showcasing his musical identity beyond his long-standing role in BIGBANG. The artist, known for his emotional range and refined vocal technique, is expected to present a setlist that reflects both his past musical achievements and his evolving creative direction. Several cities on the tour will host Daesung's solo concert for the first time, leading fans to anticipate a tailored experience unique to each venue.

Daesung’s solo journey has been marked by notable releases such as Look at Me, Gwisoon, Try Smiling, and more recently, Falling Slowly and It Flows. These tracks have allowed him to explore a more intimate and expressive musical palette, reinforcing his distinct presence in the K-pop landscape as a vocalist capable of navigating both traditional ballads and contemporary pop with emotional precision.

The tour will coincide with the release of Daesung’s upcoming mini album, D’s WAVE, scheduled for April 8. The album is expected to feature new material that complements the tour’s emotional arc, offering fans both fresh content and live performances that deepen their engagement with the artist’s evolving narrative. As this marks his first formal solo album since his return to music, anticipation is high for how Daesung will articulate his voice in the current musical era.

Tickets for the Seoul concert will open for pre-sale to B.stage membership holders on March 27 at 6 PM KST, with general ticket sales starting on April 1 at 8 PM via Interpark. The tiered release structure is designed to accommodate Daesung’s dedicated fanbase while ensuring broader access as public interest grows.

Industry insiders view D’s WAVE as more than just a tour—it represents a strategic relaunch of Daesung as a solo act in an increasingly globalized market. With the K-pop industry continuing to value solo artistry as a complement to group identities, Daesung’s efforts may serve as a model for established idols seeking long-term artistic relevance.

The combination of a highly anticipated tour and a new album positions Daesung to redefine his career narrative, bridging his legacy with a future-focused on individual expression, musical depth, and direct connection with his fans throughout Asia.
